Inspiration | Ira Glass

I have come across this quote from Ira Glass a few times in recent years, and each time I read it, I am hopeful for what lies ahead in my creative career. There used to be many moments when every creative piece I finished, I immediately longed to do better. To have things that look like the designers that inspired me. I'm discovering more often now that every creative thing I produce allows me to hone my craft just a bit. And little by little, my end result is becoming more satisfying personally.

I like this quote because it can apply to almost any individual. Whether it is writing, design, crafting, home decorating, baking, cooking, athletics...if we're passionate about what we're doing, we'll get better the more we do them. All it takes it to keep on producing, and one day you might just surprise yourself.

Cain's Arcade

This short film has been catching some major appearance on the web as of late, and recently the company I work for watched this and decided that this young boy deserved a full scholarship to attend a week at iD Tech Camps.

It is such an inspiring story of a young kid who I have no doubt will be successful in his life if he's given the guidance and tools he is worthy of. If he's this innovative as a nine-year old, my prediction is that he will be making big headlines in about 15-20 years or so when he is an adult.

It's a short, 11-minute video that is beautifully done and I encourage anyone who has the time to watch it. Pass the tissues and get ready for a little feel-goodness in your day.
